Time costs will vary by organisation and individual, and the TimeGiver always sets the starting price. There is a sliding scale of 'time costs' with less senior individuals, which may be lower. However, TimeBidders are never obligated to bid.
-
No, we do not match TimeBidders with TimeGivers. TimeBidders and TimeGivers may choose who they interact with. TimeGivers can create profiles on the platform that include metadata tags and bios. TimeBidders can save searches so that they are automatically notified when relevant TimeGivers post meetings opportunities. In the auction format, TimeGivers will receive a list of the firms that have submitted an IOI and have the right to decline individually before the auction commences. In the buy-it-now format, TimeGivers also retain the ability to decline meeting requests.
-
TGN is attracting a growing community of TimeBidders, TimeGivers and Sponsors now. The TGN platform is expected to go live with auction and buy-it-now opportunities in Q2 2024.

No. The Time to Give Network platform enables TimeGivers to offer meetings to the second and third-place bidders if they are willing to match the winning bid. From our research, as long as meetings are reported to the firm's compliance department and the discussions do not conflict with TimeGiver's corporate policy, there are no identified issues since all remuneration goes directly to the designated charity. Additionally, reporting will be available to the TimeGiver's employer in order to ensure full transparency and an audit trail.

Yes, there are some high-profile examples. Warren Buffet generated over US$50 million for charity by auctioning annual lunches on eBay. More recently, Ray Dalio and Bill Ackman raised US$80k and US$165K via online auctions, also in return for a meeting.
The Time to Give Network expands and significantly improves upon those models, allowing everyone to monetise their time in the name of charity. However, unlike the Warren Buffett, Ray Dalio and Bill Ackman examples, critical safeguarding features of the purpose-built platform ensures the TimeGivers retain complete control over who they meet with and all the meeting arrangements.
-
No. While TGN provides commercially-driven business development opportunities for vendors and service providers, it is much more than that. There are many scenarios where a TimeGiver can deliver value to a non-vendor TimeBidder. For example, the TimeGiver can offer specific expertise or assistance to individuals seeking educational, personal development or research input. The opportunities are endless and will develop over time.

As a Community Interest Company limited by guarantee, the Time to Give Network cannot pay dividends. Any surplus monies are distributed to all of the charities that have received donations via the TGN platform over the course of the calendar year, on a pro-rata basis.
